The fit of the topsides of both wings is not the best one. 

Screwed it, I admit 🙁 

That's it for day 2. 

Bit disappointing innit? Luckily only a bit 🙂 

The nacelles fit perfectly, only a small cut was required. 

Engine front requires a bit of surgery. 

 

Canopy closed today, time for masking and spraying. 

 

 

 

 

 

SM-205, the darkest one of the three I'm gonna use. Btw. it turned out I can do some preshading using metalizers, which I've been unable to get so far 🙂 (see the horizontal stabilisers) 

Resprayed, including the nacelles now. Time for masking. 

Spraying completed. 

 

 

Ready for the first layer of varnish. 

 

Thinking which sealant colour would be the best 

Went for acrylic Humbrol 106 

 

 

Time for decals - let the show begin! 

How much glue can you expect on old Italeri decals? A lot! 

Tail sevens are made of overlapping 1 & part of 2 🙂 

The Fw 190 crosses from Italeri are bit too big, so I had to cut them here and there. 

And it's done. 

On its own wheels finally. 

As the original pitot was partially offered to the carpet monster, I had to find a replacement. 

Not sure there's anything I hate more than rigging.
