If S27 would have provided the diffuser in photo-etch, it would have prevented you from doing all the work. That said, the difference between the plastic version and the resin mould makes it worth doing 👍🏻

On picture 5 you wrote "This time, I wanted to finish it quickly without any modifications, but ..." That sounds not really like you 😄 Then the "but" sounds like you.

My utmost respect for the work you put into all those metal parts. I'd hate that about as much as getting sick. Respect!
I always enjoy your build logs, even if you "don't modify much" 😄

In my case the DSPIAE airbrush works in1 of 10 times that I try to use it! Does it work for you, MS K?

It seems to be due to low pressure. Try spraying at 2 bar or higher.
My old "Spray Work" compressor was rated at about 1 bar, but it wouldn't spray. With the new compressor I bought (rated at 2 bar), it sprays just fine.

I don't know which primer do you used. On resin I only trust MRP Primer now, after I have even Alclad removed with masking tape.

Those are acrylic lacquer primer.

@bughunter - Thanks for your advisor. I've been using a resin primer because the compressor pressure is low, making it difficult to use water-based paints, but I didn't know it would come off so easily.

I've used Tamiya primer from the rattle can on resin bodies in the past without any issues.
Hope it will turn out better on the next attempt and great catching/cleaning up!

I would be pi...ed of a lot by this accident and would lay the kits to the side for a while. Well saved 🙂

There are master model builders and ordinary model builders. Both experience mishaps. The difference between the two groups is how they deal with those mishaps 🙂
Just to be clear, a master was at work here 👍

MS K, amazing work as always👍
Have you tried 2 component primer before? I would strongly recommend it for resin parts especially.
Other thing, you can apply the liquid decal film undiluted with a brush. Yo can apply it rather thick, but it dries to a very fine layer. It works very well, I have tried. I was puzzled why you decided to spray it.

I tried applying the decal solution with a brush before, but it was applied too thickly, so I had to apply a thick coat of clear to remove the decal's steps.
I haven't tried a two-part primer, but I recently purchased a water-based primer that's strong enough that I plan on using that in the future. Thanks 🙂
