The first step in Vacu moulding: You can see here the original kit canopy, itself a Vacu part. The ravages of time have made it very yellow and thus unusable. Here I have already filled it with clay, which, when hardened, should give the plastic necessary strength 

The result of three thermoforming passes: Well, it all seems very... thin in the photos, but it worked well. I thermoformed two 3mm thick foils togethe 

.....and here the whole thing is already cut out and mounted once with Revell's transparent adhesive. The filler is then built up in further passes to create as even a surface as possible 

 

 

 

....I couldn't resist fixing the first part of the engine nacelle! .
