Here, the excitement of finally being able to build this striking aircraft outweighs that of the kit: lack of accuracy of fit, lack of fineness of detail - if there is any to be found - and rather crude, thickly moulded parts encourage you to do a little detailing yourself and make some parts on your own. I did this, for example, with the ribs of the cooling air intake on the underside using etched parts. But I am sure that it will be possible to create something, well, coherent in the end.

Very welcome, Robert!

I still have to work on the fuselage/cockpit canopy match....
Somehow the whole thing looks strangely chubby - yet, I hope 🙂

A project with a special flavour has come to an end: the MB.5 is really an interesting and beautiful aircraft, the kit from KP falls somewhat short of the elegantly elongated proportions of this machine. But perhaps this is also due to the small scale and the rather, well, crude components - or perhaps it's down to my skill. Apart from that, there is a lot to replace/think about here because it is not included in the kit: for example, the pitot tube under the left wing, hydraulics on the undercarriage leg, of course, or the representation of the position lights.
What I really like about the kit, however, is the addition of 3D printed parts for the tyres and the extremely detailed exhaust pipes. Speaking from personal experience: the risk of crumbling when removing the parts is very high! 🙂
One thing is for sure: this is one of those rough projects where just being finished is a tail of reward!

Well done! I was very happy to buy the last boxing like and very disapointed with the rude materials... Well, you have shown that we eventually achieve very good results with it!

When did it happen? Awesome job, Roland!

Your words are much appreciated and I feel encouraged, thank you mates!
Robert, at the moment the building frequency is rather high; this results purely mathematically from the formula: Broken bone healed X currently on holiday X no small children = lots of models! 🙂
