A start: I'm showing you these pictures because I really like what Airfix has put in the box here. In my opinion, there are lots of details that have the potential to create a quite detailed model of this interesting vehicle!

I was impressed with this kit as well. It's a shame Airfix don't do more 1/48 vehicles.

Here are a few more pictures that underline my words at the beginning: a really well-made kit that is a joy to work with! You can see the whole thing still in its dusty shell, now I have to do a bit of filling.

I am eager to show new pictures; painting is under progress

A complicated construction, somewhat tricky... but all in all very instructive. You can see the condition after applying the few decals; tomorrow we will continue working with glossy clear varnish...

The new Airfix kits are very good.Now.if only they will upscale their other 1/72 airfield vehicles.

There is a really great need for this kind of device!
And yes, I am also impressed by the quality that Airfix delivers here.

I have been thinking about buying this kit. Very nice to see your build log! 👍

Thank you Björn, then I'll see about adding a few new pictures.

Björn, it took a little longer than expected, but here are a few more pictures!
There won't be many more construction photos here, as the fuel tank extensions are almost finished, although they still need to be braced.
The overall fit and finish and attention to detail are somewhat less impressive than I found with the CWT truck, for example. But that doesn't matter: Airfix has managed to bring such an interesting piece to store shelves and sometimes even to display cases—more of this, please!

Thank you both mates!
Now the Albion three-point fuel tanker is also finished – and it was really a lot of fun to build! Compared to the Airfix CWT truck, which I built at the same time, the detailing was not as rich and the fit was not as good. It's a shame, for example, that the tank arms are not really detailed – here I dug into my scrap box and added some detail to the bracing and the associated superstructures. I also added a newly adapted window frame that was left over from the CWT truck. It now looks better than in the last construction photos and is also closer to reality.
Otherwise, I think it's great that Airfix has been offering the Albion tanker in this popular scale since 2015. As I've said elsewhere: more of the same, please! The appearance of the tanker truck invites you to play around a little with contemporary black and white photography. The Albion from Airfix has proven to me that even a quick side project can be really entertaining!

Why do we need AI when Roland can produce fake 'period' photos? 😄
Another beautiful build and photos Roland.
