Lighthouse Bunthäuser Spitze (Hamburg) - completed

The first task completed. Windows will be mounted after painting.

After 3,5 years (!!!!) of pausing I reactivated my second lighthouse project. Steps in place on one side of the stairs.  

You need for paper white glue because the other glues (CA, welder or plastic glue) not works.  

 

Housing of the light. I decided to use ONE long bended transparent stripe instead of 8 sole pieces. Framing is of paper (kit part), painted white.  

Base of the housing in place. Roof coming soon.  

 

Illumination for the Lighthouse.  

Two red and two white SMD LED‘s soldered to an array together.  

I had to rework the circuit because I found that the 4017 could not provide enough current. Two BC-237 as amplifiers helps... 

Each part of the superstructure has an inner x-shaped core. Because of that you have to watch out where you drill the holes for the wires. Every part has a special alignment: f.e. The red access door is on the right of the main door.  

 

 

Enlarged opening in the floor of the light housing for fit with the LED’s. 

Handrail: for better strength I drilled flat holes in the base (increasing of contact surface).  

 

Completed electronic. I added furthermore two parts and realized current sources for both LED circuits. So is the current for both circuits independent from the battery voltage. 🙂

White pulse “long”. 

One of the 3 short pulses in red. Unfortunately I found no exact information about the original pulse configuration during service… („Künstlerische Freiheit“🙂) 

A piece of 40 mm bambus wood prepared for installation of the little board and 9V battery.
