This is a HS Dominie that was withdrawn from use when the RAF retired the Dominie fleet.
XS731 is owned by Starjets Aviation and Leased long-term to Hawker Harrier Aviation.
HHrAviation plans to use her and her sister as Multi-role Training platforms.
The first role is a Multi-Engined Jet Trainer for Pilots graduating from the Hawk T.1 and looking to progress to our various larger Jet Aircraft.
And a training platform for intelligence crews onboard our various ASTAR platforms.
The intriguing thing with these aircraft is the ASTAR equipment used to train the crews can be changed to mimic any of our ASTAR aircraft to increase our training accuracy.
The T.1A designation refers to the Dominie's status as an Airbourne Early Warning Training platform.
