These pictures open the article on the Alouette III. I will try to do justice to this special machine, one of the special editions marking the decommissioning and 50th anniversary of the Alouette III in Austria. The decals are from Brent.

A quick update on the Alouette: the main work is done, the window areas have been masked and filled into the fuselage contours and sanded. This was a job that had to be done with care, as it will have a significant impact on the final appearance.
The various etched parts from the Brengun set have largely been applied.

A few more steps forward – and this time they're significant! Brent's very capricious decals were finally transferred successfully, and now they are already under the necessary thick layer of clear coat. Of course, the whole thing shines to an extent that will be greatly reduced.

Here are a few quick pictures of the current state of the Alouette III: the windows have just been unmasked and still need to be cleaned, and a lot of touch-ups with a brush are also needed. Photos like these are really helpful for this! Maybe this machine will also get its etched parts skis fitted.

Thank you for your words, mates! Good
suggestion Michael! I'll wait a little longer because the future owner doesn't know yet whether he wants the skis on the undercarriage.

The construction is now complete. I will show you the finished Alouette III in its special '50 Years/Grimming' livery. The skis are from the Brengun etched parts sheet, but have been detailed with homemade tension cables. The installation with the two mirrors at the bow is also entirely my own work, as I generally made all the steps, boundary gratings, etc. myself. The same applies to the rotor head. The kit parts for this would all be much too thick.
A good kit in its day and now a classic, but I would like to officially request a contemporary kit of this beautiful helicopter in 1:32 scale! (Okay, 1:48 is also fine.)
Thank you for your interest and feedback, mates!

Great effort, great outcome, great model!
Proof that even classic kits are still worth being built!

That is some fine Alouette III. There were some detail sets from Whirly bild. They have been taken over and the new owner wants to upgrate the upgrates and rerelease them then. So I have hope that some of this stuff will be available again.
