rivetting the whole surface was my first go after the pit

first i put 2mm masking tape on the part that needs to be positieve (erected from surface. then i add maskingtape between where the fabric should be. 

 

removing the 2mm tape, leaving the negative surfaces. 

adding Mr surfaces undeluted on the ailerons and masking the rest of the wing. 

removing the negative masks. 

result is an added structure on the ailerons

upper surface preshaded with white, and gradually added colour bits by bits. 

 

all hinomaru's are painted with home-made masks 

 

 

i copied the original decals with the DSPIAE circle cutter. this tool is a GEM!

adding weathering and chipped paint with oils 

 

painting the figure oldschool with enemals.

i used the DSPIAE cutter to make a small paper template for adding the prop decals. helps with alignment. 

cutting out the wingtip light and drilling a small 0.3mm hole in it. 

placing a small piece of iron wire and painting it accordingly 

adding clear UV-resin, don't worry. ther was resin added after this picture to make it more smooth.
