Finally got the starboard (right) inner gun barrel fixed, though I broke the drill bit when the pin vise it was in rolled off the bench!

Getting close. Landing gear doors on. Trying to see if Elmer's glue will work for a masking agent.

Masked off for the white part of the invasion stripes.

Because my compressor refused all attempts at getting it to function, I dug out a old rattlecan of Testors Gloss White. I did shot a coat of Krylon clear before spraying the white, and luckily that kept the paint creep under the masking tape to a minimum.

But using a marker to enhance the panel lines is a major FUBAR...the marker will come through your paint coat. Try to avoid that.

It probably would. But I decided to try that - and THEN I heard about the bleed through problem! LOL So those marker lines have been on there for about a MONTH! LOL Hopefully, if they do come through, it won't be much.
