Alpha Jet KP versus AIRFIX/HELLER

This is the kit box and the content.  

The decals are for a Patrouille de France (early) A-Jet 

The instructions : one large sheet. The pieces are also numbered on the sprues 

These are the sprues . There are definitely the same as the AIRFIX kit, including a number of useless parts (for an armed version) 

These are the KP sprues : not a pure copy of the Airfix / Heller 

Fuselage comparison : The same , the lighter A/H has location pins, the darker KP has some details added .  

Wing comparison : KP uses a different split up for bottom and upper parts and has larger sprue connection and ejection pins that must be removed ( the lower part should be thinner too) . Dimensionally identical . The A/H has still the landing lights in the wing 

Bottom part of the fuselage and cockpit very similar. KP has some more details . The ejection seats in both kits are useless . I have them replaced by 3D printed parts 

A lot of ordnance and fuel tanks in the A/H kit, which are useless for a PdF airplane. KP has tanks ans belly gun too, but no bombs 

Problematic on both kits : the undercarriage : neither does ressemble the reality : in the middle the 3D parts which I made to replace them . The parts to fix the main U/C to the fuselage is problematic too, as the legs stick out of the fuselage and can easily be broken. I made a "bridge" part to glue inside the fuselage and the U/C legs can be added once the kit is nearly finished.

fuselage comparison : Airfix/Heller has a better parts fit (as expected) . Cockpit arrangement is better and easier to fit on KP/ ASK (my opinip,)

nose streaks made from 1mm x 0.25 mm brass strip (albion alloys) fixed with ammo super glue  

wings fitted, airfix/heller is better than kp, as expected, both need a little filler ( I use Vallejo filler for this.
