[Revell] Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe (WIP)

Trimming and categorized by color. 

This kit has several shrunken molds. 

The cover is designed to open and close, but it does not close properly, so after attaching tape to secure it... 

Put it in the dish dryer for a day, it will be properly fixed like this. 

It was time to paint black, so I masked off the windshield to paint it as well. 

Black surfacer. 

then, painted body colors. 

and then, The spokes of the wheel were lightly masked and the rim was painted chrome. 

I belatedly screwed a deep hole in the muffler.  

Now I painted the remaining secondary colors. 

1st. clear coat was applied. 

When applying a clear coat over a metallic color, you must be careful not to paint too richly.
 

If you zoom in like this, you can easily see the difference between the two.
L: heavily coated, R: lightly coated
PS: As the metallic particles become rougher, the color changes slightly.
Therefore, as shown on the right, it is better to lightly coat it first, dry it until it becomes crispy, and then apply an additional heavy coat.
 

The gear stick looked a bit clunky, so I cut it off and modified it by transplanting a clothes-pin. 

This is how dangerous the hobby of models is. 😉 

The manual says to paint it clear red, but when I looked up pictures of the actual car, it seemed like the transparency was slightly different.
So, first I painted clear red and then partially masked it... 

I lightly covered the white color from the inside. 

I shaved off the original mold to apply the 3D decals that were recently released for this kit. 

I thought a lot about what color to paint the interior.
I chose a yellow interior for the silver car and a red interior for the black car.
 

I took another shot during the day and corrected the colors to match what the eye sees in real life.
I think I got the colors just right. 🙂 

Painted with brush. 

Cleaned up the surface for glossy. 

I got greedy and the paint came off. 

Anyway, polishing done. 

I swapped them for fun. 

This is the last masking. 

I painted a black surfacer instead of matte black. 

It looks like it was masked incorrectly. 

Repaired. 

Ready to assemble. 

Applied Quinta Studio - 3D decal.
The quality is very good, but given the price, I think it would be more efficient to use it on a car with an open roof.
 

There's nothing special about the assembly, just follow the instructions. 

The brake discs are not chrome paint, but a regular metallic paint called IPP's Metallic Silver.
If you can get your hands on this inexpensive, quality paint, I highly recommend it. 

I was surprised at how well the parts fit together, unlike some of the older level products. 

Originally, I thought the Rebel kit was fun to assemble the internal parts, but I was very satisfied with the improved fitting. 🙂 

Next I need to assemble the cabin, so I pre-assembled these first. 

Since the seats are shaped differently on the left and right, you will need to attach them to fit the driver/passenger seat.

I decided to place the colors like this 

I used Hasegawa Mirror Sheet and Morotow Liquid Chrome.
I recommend AK Chrome, which is a quarter of the price of Morotow. 

Assembled front/rear lamps. 

Afterwards, the remaining parts were simply assembled according to the instructions, and finally, metal stickers and a three-dimensional emblem were attached. 

Done.
