1/72 Academy RF-104G ROCAF

Trying to NOT get AMS so I will carefully do just a clean, straight build. Managed to get the speed brakes on fairly flush. 

Will not make a proper cockpit for this one but will try to create the illusion of one. 

Not much of an update but hope to get this thing puttied and painted by this weekend! 

Fortunately, this one will need only minimum putty! 

Step by step. Nearly got all the parts ready for primer. 

Got some primer on the majority of the parts. Need a few touch-ups here and there. 

Gloss black on the exterior parts. 

Getting most of the smallish parts painted.

Finally got around to painting up the radome and intake edges & putting another coat of white on the wheels and wing tops. 

Not sure what happened to the white paint on the radome. It crackled right on top. I was going to use a decal for the glare shield anyway but they look like they are deep enough to show under the decal. 

Finally got the radome re-painted. Now to get the glare shield done. 

Anti-glare panel done. Not perfect but it will do. 

Dorsal/spine antenna masked off. 

Dorsal/spine antenna done. Silly me tried to repaint the instrument panel coaming but forgot to mask the cockpit! 

Not sure what attracts me to these old tool kits! Metallic details didn't turn out exactly how I wanted - plus I managed to scratch up the paint pretty good! Once I get the canopy dipped and framed the painting will be done.
