Very nicely done Linden. Your chipped paint effect is excellent. Did you use a hair spray for the chipping?

Hi John,
i used the "havy chipping fluid" from AK for the chipping effect with a longer dry time as usual and then rubbing bith a hard, short brush.

Thank you for the insights Linden. I am going to have to try that soon

Missed this one earlier, amazing result! The chipping is fantastic. Nothing looks better IMO than a good hairspray/chipping fluid job. Some talented people out there can make chipping with silver paint or pencil look good. I'm not one of them so it's hair spray for me. You say it took a long time and it looks like time well spent. 👍

Album info
I built the KI84 Hayate model airplane with a lot of passion. Details such as rivets and stressed skin were particularly important to me in order to give the model a realistic appearance. The aircraft shows strong signs of ageing and was designed completely without decals - everything was airbrushed. I had a lot of fun building it, even though it took a long time due to the many details. Every hour was worth it!
kind regards
