I like it anyway.
I gained considerably more control over the application of superglue when I started to use short wires of different diameters with 0.2 mm being my standard one. I put the wires in small clips so that they can be handled more easily. Maybe this hint will help you too.

Access superglue can be removed with debonder (expensive). For this purpose the cotton buds from Tamiya are a real treat as they are, first: pointy and allow you precise work and second: very tightly rolled and thus keep their shape even when rubbed. Expensive though.
