Williams brothers. My psychic powers predict the transparent parts won't fit well.

Welcome mates, and i will give those Quinta resin Rivets a go.

I recommend reconsidering this. I used them on my Pinkie and they're disappointing, the film is clearly (nomen omen!) visible after even few layers of varnish.

Hm, ok thanky. Is there any alternative on the market? What about the HGW Stuff?

I think riveters are the way. Even if you go to far or sideways, you can fill them.
I was afraid of them at first, but if I ever build another Skyvan, I'll use them (same with SA330 Pumas or maybe a Boeing 247, which is also in my stash 😄)

Ah, haven't thought of these.
No clue how to do the outstanding ones I'm afraid 😐

Surprisingly, i opened this box half an hour ago !! 🙂
But it should wait a little more ! Good luck !

Who's building the Mi-1M they found rivets where the carrier film doesn't show I thought

The best result I could achieve with quintas rivets is on the Pinkie's roof
(lots of Tamiyas strong softener and few layers of varnish involved)

Daniel, that might interest you, seems to look more realistic than the rivet decals I used:

joining the crowd. One of our club mates just finished this kit beautifully in a Lufthansa livery. Quite a bit of work went into it. I am anxious how this proceeds. Good luck.
Race to Melburne? Are you referring to the McRobertson-Race of 1934?

Hi Daniel, I hope you do not mind if I use this thread to answer Desert Marlins request as I suppose one or the other here might be interested in it too.
@Desert Marlin: you have to honor to be the very first person to be officially informed about the new homepage of our Modelling Club - published today. It is in German but features a build report of said Boeing 247 in Lufthansa livery:
