First pictures here too: this seems to be a really classic MPM kit that will be a joy to build! The parts tend to be rough, but well detailed, the fit is rough and ready, but perfectly adequate – and the layout of the kit is coherent, sensible and enjoyable.

Hi Roland, beware of the canopy. Mine was a bit too narrow so I clamped it down and the resulted in microcracks in the roof. Fortunately only visible at certain viewing angles.

I'm delighted that you're interested! Max, I tried that with the clear parts straight away – thanks for the tip. I've actually noticed that the clear part at the rear cockpit is too small – I've been warned and will be careful!

The Fulmar is also beginning to take shape. Now there will be a weekend break from model building—but not from scale modelling: I am looking forward to Euromodel in Ried im Innkreis, Upper Austria!

A few steps forward- and no longer entirely up to date: today I was able to apply the decals, and construction is progressing very smoothly and without any problems so far.

Now the Fulmar has left the nest: the build went smoothly right up to the final stages, one of the 'good' Special Hobby kits. 🙂 The moulds seem to me to capture the shape of a Fulmar well, I only made changes in one area: the wheels are definitely too far away from the landing gear legs, so I shortened the wheel axles to correct this. The decals included are of excellent quality and were a pleasure to work with. The various insulators on the antenna cables are thickened drops of paint that were shaped into the appropriate form once they had dried to the right consistency.
I am delighted with the finished Fulmar and eagerly await the completion of the Fairey Firefly!

Excelllent build. Hope mine (somewhere in the future but with folded wing of wings) comes out near to that.

At a first sight I thought it is 1:32 as it looks so detailed and well executed. In 1:48 this is even more impressive 👍
