I'm in Too 🙂 . My Supra is in the making also .

Interesting, the non-fitting spoiler.

The manufacturer should be ashamed of charging so much money for such rubbish.

George Williams
You fixed the problem with Zoom-On's spoiler very well.

Hi, I'll look forward to your build. So far kinda unfortunate start with that A-pillar. A few years ago, I made some custom parts for a 3D printer, for this kit, and I would like to recommend you at least this cults3d.com/en/3d-mo..yota-supra-by-tamiya and cults3d.com/en/3d-mo..ta-supra-1-24-tamiya. They are not dimensionally correct, because I don't have a Supra nor Supra parts. I just wanted to make it look better. I would say they are reasonably priced.

If this happened to my a pillar I probably would have stomped on the body and bought another kit 😄😄

so that is a pipe cutter...I need this in my life

HG Pipe Cutter (for Plastic ..Wave Corporation HT-504, No)

HT-504

@Alexander - Yeah that's correct. If you don't mind that it isn't the exact same product, try searching for a mini pipe cutter on Amazon or AliExpress. 😉
And, as far as I know, the smallest cutting pi is 3mm (1/8").

It says for plastic only, did it really cut through Aluminium?

Alexander this image looks like a automotive brake tube or brake pipe cutter. They are designed for copper/aluminum/brass, and run pretty cheap if you have access to an automotive parts/DIY store.

I picked one of those cutters up, from my local convenience store, for a few bucks. Some have a spare cutting wheel in the cap. And exactly as Mark said, they're for small copper pipe. Turn slowly, twisting the thumb turn screw, as you turn. Much better finish, than a hacksaw.

@Alexander - Generally, cutting products for plastic can also be used on soft metals like brass and aluminum.
Just like how brass or aluminum rods are sometimes cut by rolling them with an art knife. 🙂

Breaking a pillar is so annoying. Very hard to fix right in one go.

a pain to fix, but possible. metal reinforcement is certainly the way to go

pipe cutter can be found in DIY stores. basically the same as in the picture.

Fascinating! Fun to watch.

MS K you are doing amazing work on this!
However, your experience with the wheels and lip has me questioning every ZoomOn product on my wishlist 😅

Very neat work, as always, Ms K. I think the colours are fine, but the battery connections look as though they're in the wrong place. The positive and negative leads usually go from the two larger terminals, not the smaller ones in the middle which are normally used for maintaining the battery's cells

@George - Thanks for your intel. I will keep this in mind for the next engine bay wiring job.
@Mark W - I was also very disappointed with the Zoom-on product while working on this project.
In my opinion, USCP products seem to be of better quality than Zoom-on products.
Among them, the older resin injection-molded models seem to be of better quality than the recent 3D-printed ones. (They even included rubber tires, you know.)

That strut bar is a thing of beauty 👍

When printing decals I cut my blank A4 sheets into A5 or A6 size and set up my printer accordingly. Should be possible on all printers to change the format

@Alexander - That's right!!! Why didn't I think of that... Thank you so much~ 😉

The front end looks very good.

in picture 72 you are saying that you are wasting the sheet just to print a few decals. but if you cut the part where the decals are, you can print others using the rest of the sheet.....

When I printed again on decal paper that had already been printed once, the print quality deteriorated and the colors were inaccurate.
 5 April, 03:42
Spanjaard
strange, I have used sheet partially used without issues....

I use a color laser printer, and although I don't know what happened inside, when I try to print on paper that has already passed through the printer once, it smudges and the colors come out faint.
Do you happen to use an inkjet printer?
 5 April, 06:49
Spanjaard
no, laser color as well (HP)
 5 April, 08:12
Spanjaard
I would suggest to cut the paper in smaller pieces, the printer should take smaller sizes (envelopes, etc) so you avoid washing a complete A4 size 😉

Yeah, I'm going to try doing that next time. Thanks. 👍

Amazing work as always!

It looks like the word to the right of "Supra" is "turbo". Well that is what it looks to be on the Forza Horizon 2 recreation of this car.

I started thinking only the wheels and lip were different, but it took a long time because of the minor differences.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
