Agree with Jennifer - following!

A fun touch would be a jet engine up on a rack on the fantail, pissing everyone in aft berthing off while they let that thing rip at 0300.

Villiers de Vos
The interior looks good.

Bossy you read my mind! I have the test shack in the works and several great pics of engines on stands in that area so I can make it all work!

Just need the guys in their racks with their pillows over their heads ( that didn't really help).

Chris, beautiful detail. Do you plan to have the deck removable?
1  30 June, 12:55
Chris Vandegrift Author
Sure do! The deck will lift up on a pair of linear motors. It goes up a little over 4" to give a good view.

Does she have firewalls separating the hangar bay? Seems that I recall the monster I was on had at least one with a rail guide going across the floo.....rrrrr.....deck.
1  30 June, 23:54
Chris Vandegrift Author
Yes, the firewalls are there. It's a rack of three on each side that slide half way across the hanger.

Brother this is AMAZING. I can smell my boat's (USS JFK) hangar deck.

Where did you get all the figures from?
2  2 July, 10:40
Chris Vandegrift Author
They are from Ion, out of Poland. Super nice quality and not brittle at all. I manhandled the heck out of them with a Set of tweezers and I think I only broke one head off of somebody out of about 300.

Holy Overhead Batman! Are you making the hangar deck overhead with tanks in the racks?!
1  5 July, 03:03
Chris Vandegrift Author
Yes, but nothing too detailed. Just trying to show what's up there 🤓 rather than leave it void of anything.

Looking great, following. 👍

Album info

Let’s see if I can bring this idea to fruition…My plan is to use a couple linear actuators to lift the flight deck so the hangar bay can be seen clearly!
