This Albatros D.III (No. 789/17) was piloted by Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen on June, 18th 1917, when he gathered near Ypres/Flandres his 53rd victory, the last on a D.III, the first with the just erected JG 1 (J. Castan (2007): Der Rote Baron, p. 151, 311).
The model (Revell) is quite simple and was built in 1973, then crashed in the 90s and restored in 2020 (little bit of rigging, light washing).
