Since I was a kid I wanted to build this kit but never found it in one of my stores. Normally I have a strict plan to work on my stache. This time I turned it all over to build this plane. Looking forward what it will look like 😄

The first time I use Vallejo BLACK primer and I must admit: it is a cool looking color.

Not sure why but Vallejo black primer invariably clogs my airbrush

For every 9 drops of primer / air-color I add 1.5 drops thinner and 1.5 drops flow improver. In this case: 6x9=54 drops primer + 9 drops thinner + 9 drops flow improver. I use a Fengda FE-183 K airbrush with the 0.5 mm nozzle. I will keep an eye on that issue.

The 0.5 is a good idea with that stuff! I find it difficult to do fine camouflage with that paint...

....the Paasche airbrush here with a .66 needle is the go to for primers....the brush can go as low as 0.2 and up to 1.0 in five steps....never had a need for a 1.0 needle though...

If it's the passche that sucks the paint out of the cup you can use it without a needle.

Painting g scale train cars…
