Dassault Etendard IVM - completed

Sometimes is less enough: cockpit 1:1 OOB except yellow/black thread.  

The kit lacks two parts as inside covers for the "gun channels". You need 2 pieces of diagonal cut plastic tube and 5 minutes. 

On more puzzle kit! Also in this time (AS 365 Pedro) the fuselage consists of 2 dozen (!!!) parts.  

I highly recommend to attaching the both small fins to the tail BEFORE attaching the tail to the fuselage.  

I left the clear part GP4 because this “produce” no flush windows. I intend to make each window after airbrushing from thin clear material.  

I recommend to replace the etched parts with thin plastic (better and cleaner fit on the stabilizers). I replaced further the plastic pins with a combination of brass tube and brass rod (better and stronger fit).  

Each position light will be attached after coloring and after airbrushing.  

A lot of time was needed to fit the wing tips to the middle section (different thickness). 

 

New research results: detacheable camera pod carried only in version P. Because this is an M I had to rip of this part. 🙁 

Fortunately this worked without any major damage.  

Another instruction mistake by Kittyhawk: the fins were mounted obviously only on the Super Etendard. I did not find any picture of my plane showing these fins. More ripping. Grumble. 🙁
