Airfix - Special 100 Sqdn WWII Display

This is my representation of a 100 Squadron Hawk T.1 in anniversary markings.

The idea was to take the Grey/Green Camo over what I thaught at the time was White and add Spitfire decals making it a Modern(at the time) jet in WWII colours.

As stated above my younger eyes perceived the bottom colour as white when actually it is closer to Light Grey.
Within 12 hours of finding that out I had repainted this hawk with exactly the same camo and markings but instead of the patchwork white on the belly I decided to go for Vallejo Light Grey(Sea Harrier FA.2 allover Grey).

I also took the opportunity to use some better and more "Spitfireish" decals on the undersides of the wings.

Our Hawk T.1's will be upgraded to a glass modern cockpit with an additional pylon under the outer wing.
