Main parts assembled - fit is not bad, but still some puttying and sanding seems necessary... 

At last - main airframe primed and painted white (I thought this will be a quickbuild... 😉 )

Started decalling - the decals are very difficult to work with: they are extremely thin and tend to fold on themselves 

So I decided to give remaining decals a coat of clear varnish... look what happened to the thin black lines around the windows... Still, I am going to use them...  

A solution (and a reason to build another DC-3 in civilian livery 😄 ) 

New decals made (I took the opportunity to copy the decals for Curtiss AT-9 too 😉 ) 

The adventure continues... each design broke into 2-4 pieces while transferring... Fortunately, these are the penultimate ones from the original sheet.. 

Decalling done...finally...not without a drama: all the original decals continued to break after two layers of clear varnish.
