Close up of the bow from the starboard side.the torpedo tubes are key to the alignment of the whole area as they fit through the armoured sides and front. This means that if they aren't aligned correctly when you get round to fitting them to the deck you may have problems. My piece was twisted and I couldn't get it to straighten out. This meant if one torpedo tube is in the right position the other is in the air. I had to tape them down and apply super glue then leave them for 48 hours in order to get them both in the right place. All the pieces needed plenty of clean up.. the hull and deck fit together well though.  

The stern from the starboard side. The depth charge racks were tricky to build as the parts needed a lot of clean up as do the depth charges, which aren't particularly accurate, but more accurate depth charges don't fit in the racks.
I fitted it all together as best I could but it's not great. 

The bridge cabin fits well but is not entirely accurate as there should be a door on each side and they were sliding doors on the real boats. With the exception of the bridge windows I left off all the glazing for ease of painting and then glazed them with glue and glaze at the end. 

I replaced the kits guns and torpedoes as the kit ones looked more like blobs than the actual thing. The CMK torpedos are nicely detailed however the rear halves have a smaller diameter than the front so needed filler to smoothe out the step. The handles on the torpedos fuses are extremely fragile and I broke mine whilst cleaning them up. The 30mm canon from special hobby went together without any problems though care is needed removing the printing supports.
